If you’re familiar with our history, you know that The Sandbox came to be through the generous donations of our Friends of The Sandbox—community members and local businesses. When we opened our doors in 2005 as a 501(C)3 non-profit organization we did so know that ALL our proceeds would go directly to the museum’s operating cost and special outreach programs. Your donation, no matter how large or small, has an incredible impact to children right here in the Lowcountry. Each year we serve more than 5,000 children within our community via outreach programs, offer membership discounts to families in need and welcome field trips for low-income students.
