The museum is meant to be an interactive experience between you and your child therefore your supervision is necessary during your visit.
We currently do not allow re-admission for different session however if one person from the party wants to leave, get a take out lunch and bring back to the museum (while the rest of the party is still there) and eat on the porch, you are more than welcome to do that.
Strollers are not permitted in the museum due to fire code, but may be parked at the front.
Yes! We have an Infant/Toddler Area designed for our youngest guests. Those under two have a space with age appropriate toys and activities that help foster motor skills. It is a separated from the rest of the museum by a sitting wall. Children ages twelve months and younger are free!
Yes, both restrooms have changing tables and complimentary wipes are provided.
You may bring food but it must be consumed on the outside only. We do not allow food and beverage inside the museum (except for birthday parties contained in the Program Room).
Yes, The Sandbox is a 501c3, non-profit organization. Admission and Program fees cover only 65% of our annual operating costs. Financial support assists providing educational play opportunities to ALL children throughout our Low Country area. All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated.
